About this deal

I wouldn't hold my breath with regard to running windows anytime soon. The only example I saw was running (veeery slowly) Windows 2000 on an Odroid XU4, but on top of Linux and via CPU emulation. cryptsetup-2.3.3-1-aarch64 499,7 KiB 2,12 MiB/s 00:00 [#######################################################] 100% Odroid-C4's Amlogic S905X3 unit outperforms the Raspberry Pi 4 on two of four performance benchmarks and is about equal to it in two other tests. vte-common-0.60.3-1-aarch64 6,6 KiB 0,00 B/s 00:00 [#######################################################] 100%ODROID-C4 is not a Google AndroidThings certified device and Hardkernel’s Android source code does not include the Google AndroidThings source code. If you want to use Chromium anyway, make sure to start it with the option --use-gl=none or else it will try to use MESA with Software rendering which is very slow and will cause even more slowdowns. I suggest using FireFox for webbrowsing, as it's faster than Chromium and supports YouTube videos up to 720p. Thanks for this. I’ve just used it to wipe an eMMC and install Armbian from a system running from an SD card. Discussion that you have presented does not explain why Windows on ARM does not make a sense, but only why installation Windows on Odroid was impossible on on 10.2020. Many things has been changed same as Windows 10 ARM Insider Preview -> Windows 11 ARM PRO. It is wrong to say that anything make no sense if somebody may need it as a usefull thing.

The power consumption in “IDLE” is measured when a device is not being operated for 5 minutes since the CPU governor is set to ‘performance’. linux-aarch64-rc-5.7.rc7-8-aarch64 71,9 MiB 2,76 MiB/s 00:26 [#######################################################] 100% Windows is not a magical solution that makes "EVERTHING work", on the contrary. If you would be able to run Windows on an ODROID C4, you would cut down it's capabilities to less than half of what is possible under Linux. But as a very small company, with limited resources, we have no choice but to focus on areas where we can do better. The passive 2.1Ghz Test on kernel 5.7.0-RC4 did not complete. A few minutes after the 20 minute power reading the system became unresponsive requiring a cold boot. I also ran an actively cooled test at 2.10Ghz using the same kernel and a 40mm USB fan. It completed with the temperature never exceeding 39C.

Android Software Support

pamac-gtk-9.5.2-1-aarch64 123,3 KiB 2,41 MiB/s 00:00 [#######################################################] 100% librsvg-2:2.48.6-1 libtommath-1.2.0-3 linux-aarch64-rc-5.7.rc7-8 linux-firmware-20200519.8ba6fa6-1 lvm2-2.02.187-3 md4c-0.4.4-1

USB-C can only deliver 5V@3A in "dumb mode". To get extra power, USB-PD "smart mode" is required. This requires additional logic and support to negotiate and well as a premium "smart" power adapter. And both the RK3399 and The Rpi4 have another benefit: open source GPU hardware acceleration AND better mainline kernel support. systemd-245.6-1-aarch64 5,0 MiB 2,57 MiB/s 00:02 [#######################################################] 100% If your bias against Linux is irreversible at this point, perhaps you could try Android instead. It is officially supported by HK on Odroid C4: https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-c4/os_im ... id/android I also offer specific fbdev applications such as retroarch for example which allow you to utilize the GPU of the C4, but won't work "nicely" with a desktop, please keep that in mind when you use my image.
